  2. Set Realistic Goals: Nothing discourages you more than unattainable goals. Be honest with yourself when setting goals. Achievable goals not only keep you motivated but also ensure constant progress.
  3. Vary the Workouts: Monotony is the number one enemy of consistency. Try different types of training to keep things interesting. Exchange ideas with friends, test new machines at the gym or discover running trails in your city, for example.
  4. Engage with Online Communities: The power of community is unparalleled. Join online groups or social networks of fitness enthusiasts. Share your goals, achievements and challenges. Collective motivation will do wonders.
  5. Did you eat too much? To begin with, don't blame yourself. Everyone attacked that candy at the end of the year festivities. And, if you think you wasted all the time you gained before, you're wrong. Much of this extra “weight” is swelling, the recipe is just one: water and movement.
